"I think this event is fantastic. Swimming is such a great all round fitness activity, but it's also fun. This event is for everyone, whatever your fitness level, age or ability. Just get in, swim a few lengths, have fun, and raise money to support charities. "It gives you a focus to train towards over the next few months and have the 1st April as your goal date to achieve something worthwhile. Good luck to everyone taking part." Janette Cardy British Open Water Champion, European gold medallist and Silver World Championship medallist.

Do you have a favourite charity?  Rotary is supporting two main charities, in memory of the Nick Fane who set up this event last year:  Lawrence Home Nursing and British Lung Foundation.  Click HERE for more details.

And YOU can decide to give 50% of all you raise to a charity of your own choice.

If you would like to swim, please complete and return the Registration form. Teams of up to 6 will swim for 55 minutes in relay.  You just need to be able to swim one length or more.

There will be medals for every entrant, and prizes for most lengths swum and most funds raised, though you can also complete just a few lengths for fun and fitness. It costs £5 to sign up. Once you’ve done this, you will find information about  sponsorship and you will also be able to set up your own fund-raising page on VirginMoneyGiving

And if you’re a bit uncertain about your ability, why not have couple of lessons?
