We ask you to:
Be able to swim one length (25 metres) at least each team will start swimming in a relay at its start time for 55 minutes and each swimmer must do a minimum of one length. There is no maximum.
Complete an entry form and pay the registration fee (£5). You can do this by downloading the entry form in PDF or in DOCX, completing it and submitting by post. This secures your place plus a drink and light refreshment and a medal on completion. Closing date for registration is 2nd June 2018 – you cannot enter on the day. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Join a team As the Swim-a-Fun is a relay, everyone will be part of a team. If you know it, give your team name. If you don’t have a team, we will offer you a team to join. Maximum of 6 Per Team
Choose your preferred time The Swim-a-Fun starts with two 45min slots for families, juniors and beginners, the first at 8.30am and the second at 9.15am. There is a 60min slot at 10.00am for families, juniors, intermediates and adult groups. Finally there is a 60min slot at 11.00am for competitive and advanced swimmers. Please choose a slot based on your preference and on your ability on your entry form.
Get there in good time on the day Please arrive 30 minutes before your start time, to check in, change and meet your fellow team members.
Change of plans? If you can’t come, you must tell your team leader or us BEFORE the day. You must not ‘give’ your place to anybody else.
Raise lots and lots of money for charity! We ask you to raise as much sponsorship money as you can. If everyone raises £50 the Swim-a-Fun would raise £6,000! ALL sponsorship monies must be given directly to Chipping Norton Rotary for disbursement to the charitable organisations including your chosen charity.
Tell us of any special requirements Entrants with special requests or limited mobility are requested to contact the organisers prior to entering.
Note that any photographs the Chipping Norton Rotary Club or the leisure centre [GLL(BETTER)] take may be used for promotional or fund-raising activities i.e. for next year’s posters!
Bring a £1 coin on the day You will need to use the locker at the pool.
